According to the BBC website, Town are not going to pay the 1 million Bristol Rovers are asking for Lambert, also they will not pay his high wage demands.

The 6 or 7 to leave will be:
Definites = Keigan Parker, Phil Jevons, Michael Flynn(All sent on loan last season for obvious reasons) plus Chris Lucketti who is just too slow for LC's game plan.
Highly likely = Jim Goodwin and Ian Craney, IC dropped out of favour towards the end of the season, JG is probably surplus to requirements now that Anthony Kay has arrived but he may be kept as back up unless Blizzard signs from Stockport.
Other possibles = Tom Denton, not an LC signing and the places he went to on loan suggest he's not going to figure under LC. Not sure about the keepers though, I think Matt Glennon and Alex Smithies will be good competition for each other and are both competent keepers, perhaps Easty will go out on loan again to get some more experience. Think Williams will stay put.

Who are the 6 or 7 LC says have to leave? Suggestions please and dont suggest the ones you dislike who have just signed contract extensions. PJ, KP are obvious. My others would be IC, MF, CL and maybe JG, MG as I dont think we can afford 3 goalies and he is 3rd in order. CL obviously but he says he wants to stay. They are all on contract so we cannot force them out. Good news on Robbo. Gets better and better. BobWat whjere can we hear this interview. Q. Will Boothy Beer have the legs to be a great beer.

Bob Wat - I fear Rodney has got one over on you on this one my friend!! The jibe was in reference to the slip in referring to Moyles as distinct from Moyes. Look forward to seeing you at Southend - keep that lad of yours in the opposite end mind!!

Regarding Theo Robinson of Watford, I was sent an extract from the Watford Observer today, which stated his fee would rise to £275k in total should we sign him.

On midfielders did Jimmy Nick track back and tackle, might be selective memory but I clearly remember him going forward and his superb use of the ball, or has the game changed so much.

The level you played football at does not necessarily correlate with your understanding of the game. Especially at any level below professional level. Anyway, regarding Michael Collins, you can't argue with the amount of important goals he has got for us. Midfielders with goalscoring instincts like that are hard to come by, so I'm very pleased he's signed for another 3 years.

If anyone is interested, perhaps John from Shpley may be regarding Tom Cowan?
He is a recent 'Legend' on www.thisisthebarmyarmy.co.uk. If you have a look trust you find it an interesting read.
As John said Craig Armstrong did make his (Home) debut in Tommy's last game for us, his first game was the fixture previous 2-2 at Wolverhampton.

I agree with phil from MK, these players Town dont want are just staying on for the money because other clubs wont or cant pay the wages they´re on at Town. Lucketti could have gone but he turned down a move and with the squad LC has, I would have more chance of getting a game than Lucketti!!! Jevons and Parker have no future either, but they´re here for the ride. If they want to play football, they´ll need to move on. Neither can score goals in league 1.

Sky sports says we have hijacked the transfer of Theo Robinson joining swindon town. It appears he will be joining Town, after agreeing terms with Swindon, who seem angry over the deal falling through. According to the Watford site, Robinson who is 20, is fast and good on the ball and was on loan with Southen where he played 20 games and scored 7 goals. Watch this space...
Just wondering if anybody knows what the squad numbers r this year? Or are they just the same as last season?
I also heard something about ricky lambert! But shall we belive the stuff we read in paper articles.

Kev Gomey, fair enough. You stated your differences with LC about MC quite openly at the same time I was criticising your views on him. Good for you. (I'm suspicious of his staff, not him.) Well, I'll be honest: as an old wing-half I'd have liked MC to track back more and tackle more too - as you say. But you seem to miss his inspired insight about when to be where ( and where others should be, too), and above all his lethal finish. We both saw him score goals that would have been a credit to Jon S or any striker. Nerves of steel until the last moment. Priceless! Thank god no big club spotted it. They're looking for budding Lamp/Gerrards who already have everything, as you seem to be. Well, I think you'll see MC's real talent evolve under LC. But I respect your semi-pro experience. I suppose I'm a frustrated school ( and Yorkshire grammar schools team, mind..!) and university player (then on Sundays till I was 50) who never found out how good he was! So now I play on here....
These new signings are all very well but we must sign that proven striker to get the best out of what we already have. The reputation alone takes that extra marker and allows space for others to develop and impress !
r we going to sell anyone!!!!! like the signings but could do with releasing the dead wood so they do not take up the seats in the stands earning a free crust

kev(Gomey),playing semi pro does not mean you know more about football than any non players, yes there are aspects of actually playing that a non player may not understand but reading some of your posts some people would think you know little about the game.On the debate of MC who I agree flatters to decieve on occasions, would it not be better to ask if the coaching staff can not improve the aspects of his game that sometimes let him down rather than want to get rid of a good prospect. As for your reference to the Clarke sisters,Nathan had his best season since his debut season a fact that most people would acknowledge and Tom for me played exceptionally well both at full back(after a jittery first match),and then he was one of our best performers in the last few games(Particularly Orient and Scunny away),why not give them a break from all the sniping and actually become a supporter.

To stop any arguments,Tom Cowan played for 4 seasons after Warnock left the club, his last appearance for Town was on a Tuesday night at home to Bolton Wanderers, the day that Craig Armstrong made his debut and scored the winner in front of the Panasonic stand in a 3-2 win,Jacko was the manager who let him go when he failed to recover from a knee injury sustained in a pre season warm up.Fact.

looks like another good signing and rumours about LAMBERT coming. think there will be another striker but is it LAMBERT? only LEE CLARK AND DEAN HOYLE know the real answer to that one. cant believe COLLINS getting knocked on here he wasnt the problem in midfield last season the crabman was gave no protection at all in front of the defence.

Rodney from Hudds. Not the Blimp... He was talking about the Everton manager David Moyles. The agent is from Liverpool and was likening LC to DM. They are both hard business men, have a price fixed and are hard to budge. They don't throw money around. A good trait to have. How you could think I would consider Chris the 'Blimp' in our conversations is really beyond me. I'm hurt!!!!!!!!

I have not had this amount of faith in any manager for oudles of years. Without doubt if, whatever we think, LC did not think Collins would be a great player, he would let him move on and not offer him an improved contract. LC sees the player as he is and sees what he can be. After that he puts in place the coaching to make it happen. Peltier, tall athletic, is he the next Malcolm Brown. We have now seen 4 in with more to come. When are the exits going to happen as the squad is getting unwealdy and costly. My worry is some will be on good money with a year to run on their contracts that other clubs will not match so why move on?
