70 goals in 103 games and rhodes as only hit form this season stephen you make it up as you go along. and looks to me as if bates is going for cheap option in redfearn at least till end of season given him another 3 games and probably more after that, dont see lee clark going anywhere till end of season. enjoy your holiday im sure a lot of us will.

phil from crosland moor, maybe your brains been haddled if you've watched Town longer than me. I have watched this Town team! They're poor! Why is a person depressing because they have pointed out the shortcomings of the team and management? That's not depressing from my part, it's depressing to go and watch the garbage they keep dishing up. Yes, Town have had some awful sides and I've watched most of them! But LC has had more money than the other so-called bad teams all put together! You people just cannot grasp it, can you. LC has spent a fortune on players and backroom staff, yet we are still in the 3rd division! People keep harping on about backing LC and the team. They've been backed for 3 years and we're still in the same mess. How much longer do we have to support this clown? You don't hear anything about the Charlton manager lined up for any jobs and he's a far better manager. SM has had 2 VG games and you can see he has class. LC bought CH after watching him in 1 game.

Bob just for the record I agree re OG (much as I did with you re GTF and up to a point MC/JB although I believe we needed to move the latter two on IMO). In fact I believe after one viewing of OG you were somewhat critical and I asked you to give him another chance. IMHO we play better with him in the side and IMO he definitely looks one for the future especially bearing in mind a bit of a stop start start to the season. I believe your opinion of him if unpopular with some on here is shared by the majority of those at games.

Well I've been watching the team longer than you have Stephen and I continue to do so because I enjoy it! I've watched sides far, far worse than the present lot. You're the one who needs to get a life if you can get so worked up about a team you never even see play! I've said before - you're far more depressing than the team could ever be. As for Morrison, anyone with more than half a brain needs to see a lot more than two games (in both of which the much-maligned McCombe probably played better than he did!) before being so convinced about signing him. Quite apart from which Reading might just have something to say about it.

GAZ W/FIELD lets deal only in reality and fact shall we ? Clark signed Higginbotham knowing that he has only scored 14 goals in 115 appearances which is his VERY POOR past and present form stats and you cant dress mutton up as lamb. Clarks past failure has resulted in us not having time for anymore unproven players to fail as time is no longer on our side and neither is failure . It has taken Rhodes nearly 3 years to hit his present form but no good having a one or two man team ?? . Its not higgs i am having a go at here as more our stupid manager who doesnt knoiw what he is doing and no doubt why HOYLE didnt grant him bigger funds of which must have been available to spend in the jan window and no doubt the reason why the reason why He has put Clark only on a rolling contract. I think you rose tinted specs lot will realise this more when clark fails for a third time and lets see how many goals higgs scores in his next 3 matches.
Hey Dave in Wyke, have u had yr hands tied behind yr back yet and yr head blind folded????,lol,if notmaybe we can meet in the hellfire crossroads pub for a pint if you get away scott free.

Stephen, go easy on David ! The poor lad only travels in from Wyke to do his singing, yet can still tell us very little of what he's seen. 'Another frustrating home draw', he says. But why, David? Why? Getting home at 11-30 after MKD I'd had time on the train to reflect on the game. My views on OG were hardly popular (as with GTF, MC, JB..), but I tried, as ever, to spot points of interest, which is what I think real Town fans want. Then we have a basis for discussion ( welcome back DB!). And that's the crunch isn't it? Some of us want debate, others want loud expressions of 'loyalty'. Which is why I find Stephen's distant analyses unfailingly more interesting and perceptive than the drum-banging noises of the mob whose 'loyalty' prevents them seeing 1. what their eyes tell them, and 2. grasping the outrageous idea that critics are possibly better supporters than they are because critics really get steamed up about things...
Wake u negative ppl,its february and we r still up there with the chance to go up automatic.Lets get behind our beloved TERRIERS and L.C,as we head for 3 straight wins this month,UTT.

Droping points and the uncertanty of not knowing if we will have a manager next week is not exactly what i call a promotion advantage over our rivals. Clark needs to show loyalty by finishing off the job that he started and has been trusted to do must follow the example set by Jordon rhodes. After 3 years in charge with a massive total of 85 players to choose from of which 58 he signed, Clark has yet to produce a gelled team capable of competing at a higher level and failure on this third and final attempt is not an option. We have got a squad of highly tallented individuals who have under achieved of which i put down to poor management but our one over achiever RHODES TOWN AFC now holds the key as to if, what , where and why.

Sugy KH is going to be a quality signing for us. You have a go at him without seeing him play. If you knew half as much as you think you do you would know his goals ratio doesn't tell the whole story it includes when he was playing on the wing and his career as taken off when moved in just behind the front man.To send Wallace back was the deal clincher much as we did with LN. No doubt you know better and no doubt when we signed JR you were saying we needed better than an Ipswich reserve. Take your LC blinkers off and give the lad a chance.

David from Wyke, I've supported Town for 55 years! I've travelled to most grounds in the football league. The last match, OT cost me around £2,000. How many Town fans stand there singing? I would say around 1500. The majority sit there and moan at the poor quality of football. They file out of the ground after another dismal performance, after dropping more points! You can hear the fans calling out over the radio commentary. Shouting there disgust at the poor performances. Give me a break, living in an ivory tower. You don't give a damn about Town if you are happy with the level of performances they keep dishing up and that's the problem, I do, as others on this MB who complain about the state of things. The amount of money I've spent in the last 5 years, coming to the UK to watch Town, will make you look an utter fool with your statement and that's not including the other 50 years of watching and supporting them. Get a life!

Now I am usually a man of my word but I am back sooner than anticipated because I am going to support the much maligned Bob and Stephen - both of whom I have crossed swords with in the past. Bob your comment re managerial choice was spot on, not to mention the reference to being in administration and Stephen your comments re the midfield and support JR were also spot on. LC has until May to prove himself as being the manager he aspires to be....I might be back before then in whatever guise this board takes....I just wish we could get out of this league!
Signed shirt of Jordan Rhodes - warn during the match he scored winning goal against Brentford. Highest bid accepted - all monies raised to go to a charity for children with a life limiting condition (Wolf Hirschhorn Syndrome Trust). I'm cycling Land's End to John O'Groat's for them in May (1,000 miles) as my daughter suffers from this condition and has been on life support five times. Shirt originally purchsed for over £200 by another football fan in a silent auction. Please e-mail me if you would like to bid for this great piece of Town memorbillia.

All that brass in the bank from the sale of pilks and pelts plus a profit on mc dermott . We needed to buy 2 QUALITY players who could provide the strenth in depth (VITAL ) for that final push for promotion so what does Clark do --- he buys a striker and a defender from a second rate scottish club ? Higginbotham has only scored 14 goals in 131 appearances and far from the quality needed and surely we could have afforded .? Clarks second signing is as much use to our promotion drive as a chocolate teapot as Wallace has been sent back on loan to falkirk and surely A smith would have been a far better buy as his experienced and proven quality and would have been just the partner that Rhodes is lacking . Clark has not taken injuries into concideration as where is our strenth in depth replacement for the likes of Roberts ? and god help us if our play makers Rhodes or Hunt gets injured .
Thx 4 yr comments Dave from Wyke.yes theres one or two on here slateing the town constantly which is uncalled for.We are not far off takeing that 2nd spot by storm, and shutting up all the negative so called town fans UP on here.MORRISON is a great signing,Higgingbotham will get better,Callum Woods back is a must, and L.C. I FOR ONE BIG TOWN DIE HARD HAVE FAITH IN YOU TO TAKE US UP.

Stephen, of course that makes sense, as do most of your posts. But has not the great one already replaced Morrison with Wallace? After all he will have to find a place for thats my boy PC, who, to be fair, has been great, but has been ruined by LC overplaying him last season. Ironically, the exact opposite to his bizare handling of Rhodes.
lets hope Callum Woods is back for orient game, and we start with rhodes and novack up front with Higgingbotham pivoted behind them.Gobern shud be on the bench and just maybe Joey Gudjonsson may get a recall from the Costa coffee shop.3 wins needed now L.C.this mon th alone.UTT.

Stephen ps, you would not know a true TOWN supporter if it bit you on your backside, you want to try putting the scarf on and going to the Pharm, and shouting and singing till you are hoarse, with the rest of the 14 to 16,000 real supporters, instead of sitting back in your ivory tower, and moaning about things you clearly know little about,Big Nige, spot on mate regarding OG and CW,I am sure we would see a difference,in the end it,s all about loyalty to the manager the team and your fellow supporters,BLUE AND WHITE FOREVER.
