Aspley and Moldgreen

Moldgreen is half a mile south of Huddersfield on the Wakefield Road. It has a compact yet busy shopping area with a selection of pubs, shops and restaurants and even a fish and game shop. Aspley was the hub of activity in the canal era as it was the meeting point for the Huddersfield Broad Canal (Sir John Ramsden Canal) and the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. Although no longer the centre of industrial activity in the town the area still thrives and has been developed for new leisure, recreation and business purposes both on and off the water.
